When the kids were little I used to work with their drawings to make things for them. I made all manner of things including murals, bags, clothes and much more.
I had just completed a quilt made with the drawings James and Eve had done to welcome Helen into the world.
Then I started on this with the intention of recovering the baby bouncer. But before I had chance to finish it I went into labour. It never did get finished.
That was more than thirty years ago. I don?t think it ever will now. What do you think?
WORK-IN-PROGRESS
Mapping a Distressed Canvas
An interesting project in which I have deliberately warped a canvas to create concave shapes within it. Today I am mapping the these concave shapes with the intention highlighting them with colour.
Watch this space, this is just the beginning…
Working towards an exhibition at: City Arts Space April/May (dates to be confirmed).
Recycling a polyethylene coated leather settee that is peeling. Having fun breathing new life into this sorry piece of furniture. This is an ongoing project in which I am painting two couches that are right in the middle of our gallery at Hilltop Art House.
Road Works is a just for fun photographic project that brings joy and awareness to all my journeys and arrivals
